Welcome to my musical interval ear training app!
I teach piano lessons and I wanted a tool to help me train my students' ears to help them recognize intervals and develop good relative pitch. So I built my own!
Simply hit the play button and you will hear two notes played sequentially. Then you can select which interval you think it is, then the results window will show the correct interval as well as the actual notes that were played.
For example, if the first tone you hear is 'C' and the next note is 'G' the correct answer would be 'P5' or a perfect fifth. Give it a try!
You can also change the time between the notes played with the delay slider as well as the output volume. Turn the delay slider all the way down to have the notes play in unison.
I am working on expanding this app so that you can change which notes are included, for example just a C major scale, so you can build up familiarity gradually.
Other things I plan to add include different voices/instruments, descending intervals, consistent root note, and preset scales. Let me know if there's anything else I should add.
But for now, enjoy and keep practicing!
